KAS Eligibility:

The Karnataka Public Service Commission releases the eligibility along with the KPSC KAS notification. Aspiring students must read the official notification carefully to check on the details like eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and syllabus. The KPSC KAS exam, also known as Gazetted Probationers exam (GPE), is conducted every year in offline mode.

Education Qualification: 
Candidates aspiring to appear for the KPSC KAS exam must have the required educational qualification. Below are the highlights of the educational qualification needed to appear for the exam:

  1. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized board or university in order to apply for the exam.
  2. Students who are in the final year of their bachelor’s degree can also apply for the exam. 
  3. Students who are in the final year of the degree, however, have to submit proof of passing the examination to sit for the KPSC KAS Mains exam.

 Age Limit: 

Students must fall in the age bracket set by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) to appear for the Karnataka state civil service examination. Students can check the key highlights of the age limit criteria for the KPSC KAS exam 2023:

  1. The minimum age limit to apply for the exam is 21 years.
  2. The maximum age limit to apply for the exam is 35 years.
  3. Reserved category students are also given age relaxation as per the rules laid down by the state government of Karnataka.

Nationality: 

  1. Aspiring students must be a citizen of India to apply for the KPSC KAS exam.
  2. Students must have a domicile certificate of Karnataka in order to appear for the KPSC examination.

Number of Attempts: 

Students can appear for the KPSC exam 2023 only for a limited number of attempts. The number of attempts permissible depends on the category of the candidate. Interested students can check the category-wise number of attempts below:
